Monday 17 November 2025

On the day before the Forum, participants explored climate adaptation in action through site visits across the Viimsi and Tallinn region and joined a networking reception at the historic Teachers’ House in Tallinn Old Town. These pre-Forum activities offered practical insights into adaptation projects and provided opportunities for Mission participants from across the Baltic Sea region to meet and connect.

19:00 - 21:00 EET: Networking reception – Teacher's House (Õpetajate Maja, Raekoja plats 14) in Tallinn Old Town. Including a welcome address from:

Workshop 

Five thematic breakout rooms. Each will focus on one of the following themes:

  1. Coastal resilience and sea-level rise
  2. Solutions for heat management
  3. Water security and drought management
  4. Urban greening and renaturing

Each breakout room will start with a Mission Project presenting concrete solutions. These include: LIFE AdaptEST, Regions4Climate, ClimaGen, URBREATH, Adaptation AGORA, AURORA, and Interreg Central Baltic Programme - MUSTBE. This will be followed by a facilitated discussion.
