Site Visits 

On the morning of the 23 November, there will be opportunities to attend several site visits. Spaces are limited and awarded on a first-come-first-served basis. 

Tour #1 - Strolling through Stoneybatter 

Monday 23 November,  times TBC
Duration: 2.5 hrs
Explore how community-led greening has transformed Stoneybatter into a thriving, biodiverse neighbourhood, guided by Dublin City Council’s Suzanne O'Connell.
The walk concludes at the former Isolation Hospital, where Eleanor McGarry will share plans to redevelop the historic site with new housing, community amenities, and enhanced biodiversity connections. 

Tour #2 - Liberties Greening Walk: Freeing the Streets for People

Monday 23 November,  times TBC
Duration: 2.5 hrs
Explore how The Liberties has evolved over the past decade, with new parks, public spaces, and amenities designed to create a more people-focused neighbourhood.
Discover the opportunities and challenges of delivering green infrastructure in a changing city-centre community. 

Tour #3 - Dublin Bay UNESCO Biosphere Adventure - FULLY BOOKED

Monday 23 November,  times TBC
Duration: 4 hrs
Explore the Dublin Bay UNESCO Biosphere and learn how its unique landscapes support biodiversity and strengthen Dublin’s climate resilience.
Meet the famous Old Irish Goats and discover the social, economic, and environmental value of the biosphere with expert guides Dr. Pauhla McGrane and Hans Visser.  

Tour #4 - Revitalising the Santry River for Resilience Walk

Monday 23 November,  times TBC
Duration: 2.5 hrs
Learn how the Santry River Greenway will connect communities, nature, and the Dublin Bay UNESCO Biosphere through a major climate adaptation and green infrastructure project.
Discover how community engagement, biodiversity, and sustainable transport are being brought together to create a healthier, more resilient city. 

Tour #5 - Where Heritage and Culture Meet Walk: River Camac & IMMA

Monday 23 November,  times TBC
Duration: 2.5 hrs
Follow the River Camac’s historic route from Blackhorse to Bowbridge, exploring its industrial heritage and role in Dublin’s development.
The tour concludes at IMMA, where you'll learn how cultural institutions are responding to climate change and inspiring sustainable action through initiatives like Earth Rising. 

Tour #6 - Wetland Walk in Tymon Park

Monday 23 November,  times TBC
Duration: 4 hrs
Explore Tymon Park’s new Integrated Constructed Wetlands, a nature-based project that reduces flood risk, improves water quality, and boosts biodiversity.
Led by SDCC experts, the tour highlights how innovative green infrastructure can protect communities while creating valuable wildlife habitats.

Workshop breakout groups 

During the Forum, there are two workshop sessions titled: Workshop 1: Our greatest achievements at 11:30 - 13:00. Workshop 2: Innovation & competitiveness at 16:00 - 17:15. Participants will split into thematic breakout groups to learn of the actions and experiences of Mission participants and participate in discussions and a group activity.

Additional information

For in-person registrants: Completing the registration form is not a confirmation of in-person attendance at the Forum. The organisers will do their best to accommodate everyone who wishes to attend, but this is subject to limited capacity. A confirmation email regarding in-person attendance will be sent as quickly as possible. Please do not book travel and accommodation before receiving this confirmation. 
For online registrants: The link for online participation will be shared about a week before the forum. 

Final confirmation of attendance will be sent by email.

Recording

The event will be documented via video and photography. Audience members will not be documented individually. However, audience members may be identified in panoramic and group footage of the event/audience. The footage will be reproduced in communications on various platforms (website, reports, social media, etc.) by the European Commission or any person duly licensed by them. Please state that you consent to appearing in this footage:
