Mariliis Niinemägi is a project manager at the Tallinn Strategic Management Office and an expert in the Horizon Europe Mission project URBREATH – Systemic Integration of Transformative Technical and Nature-based Solutions to Improve Climate Neutrality of European Cities and Regions and Tackle Climate Change. Mariliis is experienced in initiating and coordinating research and innovation projects, as well as developing and sustaining international collaboration with universities, research institutions, and municipalities. Her work focuses on projects rooted in sustainable urban development and the New European Bauhaus principles. Mariliis holds degrees in Sociology and Social and Cultural Anthropology, her research interests are place-based transformation, place-making practices and co-creation methods.
