Site Visits and Networking Reception 

There is the opportunity to attend one of the site visits and the networking reception on 17 November 2025, the day before the Forum. For more detailed information, please refer to the main menu where there is a page on each of these activities. Spaces for the site visits are limited and awarded on a first-come-first-served basis. You will receive confirmation regarding your attendance soon after registering. 

Tour #1 - Viimsi walking tour – Nature-Based Solutions in Action

Monday 17 November, 14:00 – 17:00

Travel: Meet at 14:00 at Viimsi Spa Hotel, Randvere tee 11, Haabneeme, 74001 Harju maakond, Estonia. Return to Viimsi Spa Hotel by 17:00 
Explore Viimsi’s pioneering stormwater management projects, from smart collection systems and treatment ponds to green-grey infrastructure. The walk also highlights Estonia’s first carbon-neutral lignin road, showcasing how innovative nature-based and technological solutions make small municipalities climate-resilient. 

Tour #2 - Tallinn & Saue bus tour – Urban Heat and Wooden Innovation

Monday 17 November, 14:00 – 17:00

Visit restored Pääsküla bog, reducing urban heat and supporting biodiversity, before exploring Saue’s award-winning wooden municipal building. This tour demonstrates how ecosystem restoration and sustainable timber architecture address climate adaptation while creating innovative, community-focused public spaces. 

Tour #3 - Tallinn bus tour – Green Corridors and Stormwater Management 

Monday 17 November, 14:00 – 17:00

Travel: Meet at 14:00 at Viimsi Spa Hotel, Randvere tee 11, Haabneeme, 74001 Harju maakond, Estonia. Return to Viimsi Spa Hotel by 17:00 
Discover Tallinn’s Pollinator Highway, a 13.5 km green corridor with vibrant community gardens, and learn about stormwater adaptation at Kolde Boulevard. Ending at a prize-winning wooden school, this tour showcases urban planning integrating biodiversity, resilience, and water management. 

Tour #4 - Tallinn bus tour – Adaptation in Residential Areas and Buildings

Monday 17 November, 14:00 – 17:00 
Number of participants: 20 
Travel: Meet at 14:00 at Viimsi Spa Hotel, Randvere tee 11, Haabneeme, 74001 Harju maakond, Estonia. Return to Viimsi Spa Hotel by 17:00 
See climate-ready housing solutions in action: smart rainwater use in Uus-Veerenni, TalTech’s prefabricated renovation pilot, and SOFTacademy’s planned neighbourhood-scale redesign. This tour illustrates how resilient design and renovation improve flood protection, cooling, and long-term sustainability for urban communities.

During the Forum, there will be a workshop session and participants will split into thematic groups to discuss climate adaptation challenges specific to the Baltic region. We ask participants to select which group they wish to attend.

For in-person registrants: Completing the registration form is not a confirmation of in-person attendance at the Forum. The organisers will do their best to accommodate everyone who wishes to attend, but this is subject to limited capacity. A confirmation email regarding in-person attendance will be sent as quickly as possible. Please do not book travel and accommodation before receiving this confirmation. 
For online registrants: The link for online participation will be shared about a week before the forum. 

Final confirmation of attendance will be sent by email.
