Dr Simos Malamis is a Professor at the Department of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering of the School of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens. Dr Malamis is a Civil and Environmental Engineer graduate from Imperial College, the University of Oxford and the National Technical University of Athens. He has more than 120 publications in international peer reviewed scientific journals and more than 250 Presentations in International Conferences.
Dr Malamis is the coordinator of the EU Horizon Europe projects of CARDIMED and NURISH and the principal investigator in several other European, Mediterranean and National projects dealing with water resources management. His research focus is on nature-based solutions, wastewater treatment and resource recovery, water reuse, decentralized wastewater management and nexus implementation. Dr Malamis has significant teaching experience in several subjects including water and wastewater engineering and environmental technology.
