Moyagh has been leading Insurance Ireland since 2020, bringing a practical, people-first approach to one of Ireland’s most vital sectors. With a background in engineering and a career spanning transport, road safety, both private and public service, Moyagh is known for her hands-on leadership and commitment to making insurance work better for everyone—consumers, businesses, and the wider economy.
Under her leadership, Insurance Ireland has championed major reforms and initiatives that put fairness and transparency at the heart of the industry. From driving the implementation of the Code of Practice for Underwriting Mortgage Protection Insurance for Cancer Survivors, to pushing for a review of legal costs that impact claims, Moyagh has consistently focused on making insurance more accessible and equitable.
Originally from Newry, Moyagh holds a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast and an MBA from Dublin City University. She’s passionate about stakeholder engagement, operational excellence, and ensuring the insurance industry continues to evolve in step with the needs of Irish society.
