David is an experienced policy advisor specializing in climate adaptation and environmental policy, with extensive expertise in designing and implementing strategic climate initiatives at regional and European levels. He is currently serving at the Ministry of the Environment, Nature and Transport of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, leading the development of the state‘s Climate Adaptation Strategy, managing funding programs, and establishing a monitoring system for the strategy. Previous experience includes the implementation of climate adaptation and energy projects with ICLEI, focusing on sustainable development, climate finance, and renewable energy.
